Our pottery sale is in full swing and will continue through the end of February. All glazed and terracotta pots (indoor and outdoor) are 20% off. If you come to the store looking for pots, there are lots in the far back as well as by the store entrance and in the shop (look here, look there, look everywhere). We restock almost every week but some items are only available from our suppliers at certain times of the year — so these items are first come, first served.
Spring is Nigh (really!)
Summer-blooming bulbs are ripe for the purchase. Dahlias, gladioli, lilies, freesia, and begonias are available and can be planted now. Likewise, there are lots of veggies to consider growing at this time of year (before the tomatoes go in): potatoes (one of our most successful), onions, garlic, and cool-season crops such as kale, broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts. We’re stocking several varieties of organic and conventional lettuce, lots of herbs, and within a few weeks we expect the earliest of early tomatoes.
Early Spring Color
Ranunculus, ranunculus, ranunculus (check out the picture)! So little time, so much early spring color. How about poppies, or sweet peas, snapdragons, foxglove, or primrose? They, and many more, are ready and waiting at Westbrae. We just need a few sunny days and then the magic will start to happen!
